Copyrighted?

Lyle needed to have a picture of himself to send into the medical colleges he is applying to with his applications. My sister, Jessica, offered to take it for us, since she wanted to practice some of the techniques she was learning in her digital photography class. We waiting a little too late in the day and so it was getting dark and it started to rain, but we thought this one turned out great despite the bad lighting. Anyways, most colleges just wanted a digital file, but OHSU needed a print so we just sent it to a local photo center. When we went to go pick it up, they questioned us for printing a professional copyrighted photo, which is not allowed. We explained that my sister took it and they let us go with the photo. I think it is so cool that one of Jess's practice photos got such a reaction. She has natural talent, that's for sure.
