I love getting packages!

Yesterday my camera was delivered. I love it! Ly put the camera together while I was at work, and when I got home I began reading the manual so I can figure out what everything is for, how to change my f-stop and aperture, etc. My memory card hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't been able to start taking pictures like crazy yet. As soon as it arrives, I'll post pictures I've taken with my new camera.

Say Cheese!

I decided it was about time that I entered the world of digital SLR cameras, so I bought a Canon Digital Rebel XT today. I am so excited about it! I did alot of research and it is the best entry level SLR there is. Eventually I will get a higher end camera, but I think the Rebel is a great place to start. When I was in college I would use an SLR for all my photo work and I loved it! I loved the control I had over everything. I loved working in the dark room developing my photos. I am hoping that working digital will be just as satisfying as working on paper. I can't wait to start taking pictures, lots and lots of pictures.

Free at Last

We have had some debt from our wedding that we have been trying to pay off ever since. Today we did it! We are debt free and it is so great.

For a while I have been wanting this shirt from Shade, and I finally bought it. I got it in white, though. It is the perfect shirt. You can wear it under anything and it makes your outfit look alot more professional and stylist. I love it!

Valentine's Weekend Away

This year for Valentines I had to go down to Salt Lake City for a catalog photo shoot for work. I convinced Lyle to tag along with me and we would make a weekend of it. We drove Thursday night and then I worked all day Friday. Saturday we decided to go out shopping to buy each other a Valentine’s gift. We took my little cousin, Hope, with us because her mom was sick in the hospital. It was a lot of fun! Lyle bought me this bag, which I love, from Urban Outfitters (probably my favorite clothing store right now).

He also surprised me with a pair of earring I wanted which he bought for me Friday while I was working.

I got him a Juicy Leatherman, which he has been wanting for a long time.

We drove home on Sunday and then Monday night we went out to dinner at Olive Garden. Lyle decided to take me there because we went to eat at Olive Garden the night we got engaged. It was a very sentimental thing and I love that Lyle thought of it.

I had a great first Valentine’s Day (weekend) married. In a few weeks we will have been married 6 months and we are planning something fun to celebrate. I’ll post about that later. February is a crazy romantic month for us and I am crazy in love with my husband!

Olivia is in her high school's production of My Fair Lady this spring, and they needed a play logo! Olivia asked me if I would design something, and this is what I came up with. I hope her theatre department likes it!

Ballet, anyone.

I bought these super cute ballet flats at Dillards this past week and I LOVE THEM! I wear them pretty much everyday now to work. They are so comfortable and they make my feet adorable. I love ballet flats... they are the perfect shoe.
